Assessment should include descriptive feedback, and then the learning should be given opportunities to apply that feedback and extend their learning.

What about end of unit/term tests/assignments?  Should these be evaluated if there is not going to be an opportunity to apply feedback and extend learning?  Perhaps end of term/unit assignments should be opportunities just to showcase learning - to celebrate learning - and not be judged upon?
